Our Founder and CEO, Harley Lippman, has been recognized as a Best CEO for Women. This is the second year in a row that Harley has received this recognition and he joins execs from ADP, HubSpot, and IBM on the list of honorees.
The Best CEO for Women list is based on how female employees rate and approve of their CEOs via anonymous surveys collected by Comparably.com, a workplace culture and compensation website. Comparably conducts employee sentiment surveys throughout the year and bases its awards on over 20 million ratings across 70,000 companies.
What makes Harley Lippman a Best CEO for Women?
For Caron Katz, Director of Compliance, Harley’s recognition as a Best CEO for Women is very much in keeping with her lengthy experience working with him.
“I joined Genesis10 in 1999 when Harley founded the company,” Caron said. “Over the last 24 years, he’s been a leader in our industry who has always valued, elevated and supported women, including myself.”
Genesis10 continues to evolve with the times, embracing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts that help make our workplace culture welcoming to all individuals, including women. One example is the Genesis10 Womxn’s Employee Resource Group (ERG), which was created earlier this year and aims to support female employees in all stages of their career. Katz is the executive sponsor of the ERG.
“I am so excited about the Womxn’s ERG and its potential,” Katz said. “Kudos to Harley and the Genesis10 leadership team for prioritizing this group and other DE&I efforts.”
Previous Genesis10 Honors
This Best CEO for Women honor comes on the heels of a Best Staffing Firm for Women award that Genesis10 received earlier in June 2023 from ClearlyRated. That recognition was also based on anonymous surveys of female employees.
Genesis10 and Lippman have received several previous recognitions from Comparably.
Along with last year’s Best CEO for Women award, Lippman was also recognized in 2022 as a Best CEO for Diversity. This year, Genesis10 was also named a Best Place to Work in New York by Comparably.
Comparably awards are based on sentiment feedback provided by current employees who anonymously rated their employers on Comparably.com during a 12-month period (May 15, 2022 through May 15, 2023). Employees had the opportunity to answer on specific workplace topics about their CEOs, leadership (executive teams and direct managers), and professional development opportunities. Each answer is given a numerical score and compared to companies of similar size.
