Please respond to this blog with your question, and we will provide you with the information you requested.
When was the Dev10 Program created?
We launched our Dev10 pilot cohort in Minneapolis, MN on April 9, 2018.
How has the Dev10 Program grown?
We have held cohorts in various locations including Minneapolis, MN, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX and Milwaukee, WI. We also have plans to recruit for cohorts in Chicago, IL, New York, NY, and Washington, D.C.
Who is your target audience?
Dev10’s focus is to create a new pool of technologists by targeting individuals with a completed bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or a non-STEM degree with technical experience. Specifically, someone who would not have the opportunity to pursue a software developer position without additional education or training.
Do you only target recent college graduates?
While we hire about 50% recent grads, we also target individuals who have experience and are now looking to transition their career into software development.
How long does it take to complete the application process?
We have a five-step application process that you will need to complete. As a candidate, you determine how quickly you move through that process. Steps are pass/fail and you move through them as you pass.
Can I complete training online?
Historically, our training was only completed in an onsite classroom setting. However, due to COVID-19, we have transitioned to an online learning classroom with the goal of transitioning back onsite once all state and federal regulations are lifted. Our training has remained successful and continues to stay collaborative.
Can I fail out of training?
Yes, it is possible. However, we thoroughly vet your skills and potential before extending an offer which we believe supports our graduation rate. In addition, we have many ways we can support you throughout training to ensure you are staying on track.
